Host a Space on PcX!
PcX is an online community dedicated to Permaculture, sponsored by the Association for Regenerative Culture (ARC) and the Permaculture Institute of North America (PINA). We're thrilled you're interested in hosting a space on our platform. Here, we'll provide all the information you need to get started, including our terms and conditions.
PcX Basics
PcX offers both free and premium spaces where members can connect, share, and learn about Permaculture. Our community is built on the principles of collaboration, sustainability, and regenerative culture.
Types of Spaces
- Free Spaces: Open to all members, these spaces are perfect for casual discussions, sharing resources, and community building. Join us as a host for public spaces like Bioregions or Regenerative Discussion Zones. As a host, you'll recruit members and moderate discussions to make your space engaging and valuable. You don't need to go it alone! You can always add co-hosts to your site to share the work.
- Premium Spaces: Available for a fee, these spaces offer additional features and greater visibility, ideal for workshops, courses, and specialized content. Specifically, premium sites include features that enable you to organize information in a more structured way, so you can create reference libraries or courses with lessons, and quizzes. You can also track user/student progress through your materials and integrate video lessons. You can purchase one of our plans for your own premium spaces, where you can offer courses, consulting services, or resources.
Becoming a Space Host
As a space host, you'll be responsible for managing your space, facilitating discussions, and ensuring a positive experience for your members. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
- Community Guidelines: All hosts must adhere to our community guidelines, which promote respect, inclusivity, and constructive dialogue.
- Content Quality: Ensure your content is relevant, informative, and engaging. This helps maintain the high standards of our community.
- Engagement: Actively participate in discussions, respond to member questions, and foster a welcoming environment.

Terms and Conditions
By hosting a space on PcX, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Compliance: Hosts must comply with all applicable laws and our community guidelines.
- Content Ownership: You retain ownership of your content but grant PcX a license to display and promote it within our platform.
- Moderation: PcX reserves the right to moderate content and take necessary actions to maintain a positive community environment.

And remember, you'll have a free trial period to take a look and try it all out for yourself before you're charged. This includes membership in our Space Hosts space where you can ask questions and find resources to create and support your space and course.
Ready to Get Started?
Follow these simple steps:
- Submit our Space Host form. Be ready to answer a few simple questions: name and description of your space (you can edit these later) and, for Premium spaces, how much you will charge.
- For Premium Spaces, select the Subscription Plan below that's right for your needs.
- Set up your new space and add initial content
- Promote it in the PcX community, and invite members to join!

If you cancel anytime before the end of the trial period:
- your credit card will not be charged,
- you (and any subscribers) will lose access to your space(s), but spaces will be archived (unless you request they be permanently deleted), and
- you will retain copyright to all materials you create. This true regardless of whether you cancel, but we want to be clear that PcX will NOT continue to profit from any materials you create.

Starter Plan
- One space on PcX
- Best plan if you teach a single course or prefer to ease into hosting your own space.
Basic Plan
- Up to 5 spaces.
- Best plan for individuals who teach multiple courses and/or require spaces for alums or consulting.
Pro Plan
- Up to 10 spaces.
- Best plan for organizations or groups with multiple courses and/or those who need separate spaces for consulting or private discussions/groups.
